Natural Born Hostess

…..

This is a PSA:
I want to fill my kitchen with all of the above beauties. I actually already own the feather cheese knife set (one of my favorite wedding gifts we received).

I am just SO drawn to barware and serving pieces with nature-like details (think twigs, wood, feathers, branches, greenery, vegetation...you get the picture). Though simplistic in design, these pieces will make a statement on your dining table or buffet. Bonus points for items plated in gold.

You can search for similar items in places like Anthropologie, Terrain, Michael Aram, or local home furnishing boutiques (I love The Little House Shop and The Barn at Valley Forge Flowers - both in Wayne, PA for local readers!).

Bring nature indoors with these delicate details!

Elle's Spring Shopping List

.....

Each season it's a good idea to sort through your clothes, tossing the faded/out dated and taking inventory of what's missing. Typically you only need to add a small handful of new items to amp up your style and maintain your cool-girl-chic look.

Above I've narrowed down my 8 must-have items for Spring 2016. With these few pieces, you can create endless outfit options, most of which will take you from the office to cocktails with your gal pals.

.....

A classic denim jacket will always be IN. Dress it down with some slip-on sneakers, or drape it over your shoulders for an evening out.

A statement clutch will skyrocket your basic outfit. Feathers are always a good idea. Also loving this one.

When we were on our honeymoon, I basically lived in bikinis and sarong cover-ups
it was so easy to quickly tie-it-up and go. Plus you can style these in like, 15 different ways to mix up your look.

I love the play on the classic trench with this black version. Since spring can be fickle with the weather, opt for this light-weight option in an unexpected color.

A flirty blouse. Need I say more? ruffles, layers, lace - pick your poison and pop it on under the denim jacket.

This cool suede wrap necklace is my current obsession.  I was a fan of the bolo necklace a few summers back, and this updated version blends the best of bolo with a classic 90's choker. Sign me up!

Girly shorts are great for a day party, but also look adorable paired with wedges for an evening out. I love florals, stripes, pastels - you name it. There are some great pairs here

I'll always love a classic stiletto heel, but lately the stacked heel has me won over. They are so comfortable with the extra support!

What is on your spring shopping list?

Read My Feet

Read My Feet

One | Two | Three | Four | Five | Six | Seven | Eight
.....

I'm on a major espadrille kick this season, so I may have let out a tiny squeal when I found this adorable, affordable, playful bunch. It's hard to pick a favorite, but obviously my heart skipped a beat for the striped Bombshell pair. And that Holy Cow pair is practically made for me since I utter (sorry, had to) the phrase at least once a week.
But I don't know, something about the Easy Tiger pair is calling my name.
What did I tell you? Hard to choose just one!

If you're not into any of the above pairs, there are a bunch of other options out there. Remember this post? Or if you're not an espadrille gal, you can join the party with these cheeky smoking shoes (lucky bitch is hilarious). Any pair you pick, you can't go wrong!

Happy Feet. Happy Life.

We Are So Good Together

.....

Peacock blue seriously gives me life.
Too dramatic?
I'm OK with that because there's absolutely zero chance you can look at these items and not want to makeover your entire home. Call it cobalt, call it royal, call it whatever you want, just call on it when you need a pop of color in your space!

Marry with ivory and silver contrasting details, and some great antique mirrored pieces (hello dream lover) and you are glam-girl ready.

Is it bold? Yes.
Is it jaw dropping? Yes.
Is it everything? Double Yes.

Serenity Spa Blue

Serenity Spa Blue
.....

We're going 50 shades of blue in this pretty little bedroom vignette today!
Since I work in interior design, I am constantly saving beautiful pieces of furniture in my favorites tab. (like, daily).
J and I are looking to upgrade our bed (helloooo king size-woo!) which will include a new bed (head & foot board) as well as all new bedding (heaven!!).

I've been furiously pinning images trying to narrow down a color scheme, but I keep coming back to beautiful shades of spa blue!
I keep trying to explore other color options since my childhood bedroom was all blue and white and our bedroom in DC was all navy and white, but there is something so calming about pale tones of baby blue.

.....

I included a great bench that's on my design wish list, as well as my favorite dog beds that come in a TON of color and pattern options (seriously, these are so good).
I'm also so so in love with that funky lady print (which is under $100!)
If you are in search of amazing faux floral arrangements, check out NDI. These pieces are pricey, but look so real and will last for years!

P.S. If you're not a dog person, you probably won't like it here in my little corner of the Internet. I'm (not so casually) dog obsessed which is why you get a Bug look-alike on the right and a sweet Westie (the next dog we want to get) on the left.

Happy Wednesday, Friends!
