I am a long time Club Monaco fan…you probably are too. 
But lately, they just really get me. 

The detail they put into their pieces is just so spot on. Whether it's a tassel, a tie, a cross over or a ruffle, their simple pieces feel cozy, casual and super feminine which constantly secures them a place at the top of my wish list.

What I really love is how they keep all of their colors completely neutral (please don't hate me/my redundancy) meaning each piece is a great basic to add to your wardrobe (even though they are anything but basic!). They can so easily be switched around and intermixed amongst your other items - seriously so versatile!

My Five Beauty Must Haves

I try to keep my makeup routine fairly simple since I get reeeeeally antsy when the process takes any longer than 10-15 minutes (unless someone else is doing my makeup, then I could sit there all day).

I have tried endless products over the years, some that have stuck with me and others that I've tossed to the side. So, I thought I would share my top 5, ride or die favorites. 
Some are newer to my repertoire, and some are old friends, tried and true. 
However, all are 100% keepers.
Enjoy!


1. Peter Thomas Roth - Glycolic Acid 3 Percent Facial Wash - This is a new one for me and I am obsessed with it! The wash is gentle (doesn't sting) while using it, but immediately after you feel the effects (skin feels tight and a little dry). Slather on your favorite moisturizer after use (I use this one) and you're all set. My skin literally glows after using this!


2. Laura Geller - Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator  - I always try the latest and greatest when it comes to illuminators, and always come up disappointed…until now. I've been searching for that striking cheekbone glow (can anyone teach me how to strobe?) and this product gives you just that! It is so gorgeous and super easy to use. Definitely recommend it!

3. Perricone MD - No Mascara Mascara - This is an old favorite of mine. The cool part is the duel action brush. You use the thick side of the brush to stroke on the product, and then the comb side to pull the mascara through the lashes. It is my very favorite mascara (tied with this one)

4. Anastasia Beverly Hills - Brow Wiz - ICYMI I previously did a post on brows. For years I never did anything beyond occasional waxing for my brows, but lord has that changed. I use the Brow Wiz pencil to fill mine in and smooth the shape and it really does wonders for framing your face. Please get this product and consult a Sephora makeup artist for tips and tricks - your world will change (dramatic).

5. Chanel Rouge Coco Ultra Hydrating Lip Color -  In 402 Adrienne - This is my go to lip shade for day and night. It's a gorgeous neutral and has a super creamy texture to it. This is the one lip product I will always have in my purse.

I am all about a good lucite detail when done correctly. 

These barely there pieces can ironically make a bold statement in your home, but the key is to not over do it. I love the look of a lucite towel bar or curtain rod in an unexpected space.

If you're like me, then an all white, clutter-free kitchen is your idea of heaven. Keep those clean lines and minimalistic details running throughout your space by adding a set of lucite stools to your breakfast bar area.

Love the idea of styling your dream bar cart? 
Skip the cart and opt for a cross leg lucite tray table. This allows the focal point to be centered on your beautifully colored bottles and bar accessories.  (Pro tip: always add a short arrangement of your favorite flowers here for an extra punch!)

I'm super into the look of a lucite etagere (fancy french word for a display shelving unit). 
If your space doesn't have built-ins (J thinks I am crazy, but these are at the top of my wish list for our home) then create the look by adding one or two of these pieces to showcase all of your favorite books, objects, special memories and personal photographs. How gorgeous is this Jonathan Adler version? Doesn't it make the items look like they are floating?? 

There are so many ways to incorporate little touches of acrylic into your home. If you're not married to the idea, start small with a great serving platter (featured above) or a set of standout candlestick holders.

The design possibilities are endless!

Line To Love: Topshop Shoes

Topshop is 100% my favorite place to shop on-trend, super cute shoes (remember I bought these a month or so ago?). 
Here's the real kicker:
Almost every pair they sell is well under $100. You heard me.
This includes all of the pairs featured above too!

You know I am all about a metallic flat, but I was especially excited when I came across all of the black strappy numbers they're currently selling. It all started with these pins that I saved a few months ago (here, here and here). I fell in love with this style shoe, but couldn't find those exact pairs anywhere. The Topshop versions are so gorgeous and are hard to resist with those prices. 

I used to be addicted to Zara's shoe line. It was my go-to for an affordable fashionably fun pair, but they started slipping a year or two ago and really dropped the ball leaving me uninspired.

I am so glad Topshop is picking up the slack and absolutely killing the shoe game!

Sometimes you just want the ease of dressing like a guy, am I right? 
No frills, no heels, no fuss. Just basics and comfort at the helm.

This look couldn't be easier and doesn't have to mean frumpy. And the best part is, you likely already have most of these basics in your closet!

Start with a simple white top - think a crisp, collared oxford or a soft crew-neck tee

Add your favorite pair of broken-in denim - I opt for skinny jeans so you don't hide your curves, but boyfriend jeans work too!

A cozy slouchy boyfriend sweater worn loosely around your neck or even tied around your waist (my favorite 90's grunge look) is key.

Next look for tomboy accessories with feminine touches if that makes sense.

I just picked up that oversized silk bandana scarf which is a fun play on the original. Fold it up and tie it around your neck or wear it cowboy style.

Krewe sunglasses are a newly discovered line for me, and I am officially obsessed. Pick a pair that stays within your color scheme as I've done above with the blue lenses and tortoise frames.

This J.Crew mini bucket bag is a perfect addition for this look. Skip all of the pockets, zips, straps and chains and drop all of your belongings into the bucket!

Lastly, and maybe most importantly, you need a comfortable pair of flat shoes. I am all about a tomboy sneaker as I've pictured above. I also have these and love this pair.

You guys, I need a vacation…like yesterday. In full disclosure I spent hours designing today's post only to have it accidentally deleted right before going live ughhh. So I've just accepted that's how today is going to go.

Honestly though, J and I haven't gone on a proper vacation since our honeymoon, and I am craving some vitamin D. 

We have a few smaller trips scheduled for the summer (Nantucket is booked!) but I could really use a tropical long-weekend getaway right about now.

If you can't get to the beach, bring the sun worshiping to your outdoor patio/pool area. Whatever your color pallet, cabana strips are a DO. Add a comfortable lounge chair, some gorgeous throw pillows and a great bar area for entertaining (or let's be real, entertaining yourself) and you've got yourself a perfect little retreat.

With the first day of spring just around the corner, it's time to start thinking flowers!
I always say, the day I win one hundred million dollars the first thing I am doing is scheduling weekly flower deliveries to my home. There is honestly NOTHING better than a bunch of fresh blooms to brighten up a room. 

At the risk of being the most basic bitch at the ball, peony season is my jam. But I have other favorites as well. Here they are in no particular order:

Peony - Duh! Every shade is perfection
Hydrangea - Give me all colors
Ranunculus - Blush pink (The peony's step sister)
Roses - White only for this gal
Calla Lillies - White only again


Now that you have a great big bundle of your favorite blooms, you need a home for it and I'm not talking your run of the mill, clear gift-with-purchase vase.
Give the arrangement some character with an out of the box, conversation piece (those gold hands kill me)!

Turn a cookie jar, or mason jar into your vase. Try a blue and white ginger jar that you might already have displayed on a shelf, or an old burned out candle that came in a beautiful glass jar.
The options are endless here!

Pro Tip: Take a flower arranging class with some girlfriends. Its a fun Saturday activity and there REALLY is a difference between a novice and master when it comes to floral placement!

Spring Forward, friends!

The best and worst time of the year. 
It's definitely so hard to lose the hour (isn't it weird how ONE hour can really throw you off?) but now the end of the day seems light years longer which is SO uplifting.

While I love a good morning workout, lets be real, it tends to happen closer to 5 p.m. for me. Now I can feel like I actually have the time/light to get it done! Makes me feel less rushed and honestly, more relaxed!

With Spring approaching (rapidly, no?!) it's time to give your wardrobe some extra oomph.

I mean, how sophisticated is this room? I feel almost too immature to be able to lay my head here!

Honestly, I had a vision of how this space would come together, and I have to say, I pretty much nailed it. 

Let's break it down:

I can't start with anything besides those tassel lamps. To me they are the focal point of the room. These pretty babies come in black or white. They are ultra feminine (the white ones melt me) meets Upper East Side, bad ass #GirlBoss (hello those black ones!? Ok technically they are navy with black shades, but it works!).

The perfectly curved head/foot board is like my design dream (again, always with the symmetry) and I love the cascading levels as your eye draws from the headboard to the footboard down to the elongated bench.

I wanted a 1920's art deco feel to the room without going too crazy, so I brought in the black/mirrored Kate Spade side tables, the geo-print rug and a few decorative pieces (that Ralph Lauren clock reminded me of the Chrysler building - I love it!).

Lastly, I needed one really opulent feature so I added the gold starburst mirror which is a nod to this bold, luxurious, and decadent era.

Typically I tend to lean toward softer pallets when it comes to room design, but something about this room just gets me.

Best Finds: Ikea

You may walk the long and winding halls of Ikea thinking, these items just won't fit with your design asethtic. 
But trust me, look again. 

As we all know, Ikea is filled with TONS of odds and ends, and lets face it, a lot of junk that you wouldn't give a second glance to. However, if you become a master in your search, you will find that there are a number of fantastically affordable and chic items right under your nose!

The key is to stick to a neutral pallet (I know, I know I'm a broken record) and clean lines. Also, you must always have an open mind when it comes to adding some DIY touches. 

Each item in my specially curated list fits the bill.

Let's break it down:

One: These shelves look so great in your living space. I love how light and airy they are with the clear glass shelf surface.

Two: Lucite is still a thing my friends, and you need this chair. Look how amazing it is styled here, here, and here.

Three: This couch looks so high-end in person. Our good friends have it in their living room, and not only is it a pretty little piece, it's also comfortable which is hugely important!

Four: A faux sheepskin throw is such an easy item to incorporate into your bedroom or living space. Drape it over your desk chair for extra coziness, or lay it on the floor next to your bed so you have extra cushion when you get up in the a.m. I have this exact Ikea one!

Five:  You guys, I was so excited when I discovered these trellis pieces at Ikea! I had previously saved this picture from Veranda, and immediately light bulbs started going off. Can you imagine these painted white and laid over a large mirrored surface? Or go traditional and grow some climbing plants. For only $19.99 you can have all the design fun without breaking the bank.

Six: This throw blanket is such a great find (I own it). The bold stripe packs a big punch and looks great draped over the sofa or a spare chair. We have a blanket ladder in our living room with each of our throws folded neatly upon the rungs which is another great look.

Seven: I am a super fan of bringing giant lush greenery inside. I love this ficus bush from Home Depot and it would look fantastic placed in this natural plant pot.

Eight: This is hands down my favorite find EVER from Ikea and sadly I can no longer locate it on the site. I really hope they bring it back, because it is SUCH a great piece. Can you imagine 4 or 5 of these bad boys lined up poolside?

Nine: This table shape is literally everywhere in the design world right now, and I don't think you can beat Ikea's $179 price point. Go buy this piece and create a great, minimalistic look like this, this, or this.

What I'm Pinning

Pinterest is hands down my very favorite platform for creativity. 

Often I just sit and filter all of my recent pins to reflect back on my various moods and current vibes.

9 times out of 10 majority of those pins are home decor related since that's truly where my heart sits. But I also apparently find so much inspo in baby animals (who is not guilty of this?), exotic travel destinations, decadent foods (usually involving cheese or chocolate ughh), and unique fashion finds. 

Here's a look at my last 10 pins! 
I think they are telling me to book a trip, get a second dog (apparently I pin a lot of miniature schnauzers??) and buy a home with a pure white kitchen (I basically only pin stark white kitchens).

Cinnamon sugar popovers are a thing! We have Yorkshire puddings every Christmas, and this dessert version is begging to be tried.


I already had my wedding day (sad!) but if I was hosting an over the top spring event, you better believe this floral arbor would be incorporated somehow.



Loving this monogrammed Italian wedding plate. Makes me think of a gorgeous outdoor Tuscan meal.

This week's edition of 'The Cut' has a solid mixture of things I own, and a few that are on my wish list this week. Clearly I am on the Spring train - Next week the Northeast is hitting 70!!

It feels so good to take my workouts outside!

Here's what I'm eyeing.

One: I am dying over this scarf! I love a classic bandanna but this silk version is a fun play on the original.

Two: After reading this article, I am really eager to try anything turmeric on my skin (ignore the typo above!).

Three: This coverup is selling out fast. Hopefully they will restock since there were some really great colors!

Four: Annnnd my hat collections continues to grow. I picked this one up last week and highly recommend it!

Five: This linen shirt has such a great fit (I have a long torso and the length is great). I got it in bright yellow in the store.

Six: Just picked this up today in "Gilded Honey" after reading great things. Hoping it lives up to all the hype!

Seven: Tried these on in the store today - they are SO cute!!

Eight: I know boot season is creeping to an end but these are just too good.
