Garden Party

I've been feeling really inspired by lush garden greens and floral scents lately. Though I am a fully committed fall/winter person, a mild, sunny, summer day, when everything is in full bloom, is pretty hard to beat. When we were picking out our wedding china, I felt really underwhelmed by the patterns and options that are out there. Pathetically it took months to decide on one because I just wasn't seeing much that I liked (there is definitely a hole in the market that needs to be filled by someone creative/talented). It wasn't until I discovered the Constance collection from Bernardaud that I actually felt excited about picking a pattern (china probably isn't exciting to most people, but this collection is SOOO beautiful). I knew I wanted something that stood out from the rest, but one that could also easily transcend through the changing seasons.  I love the garden vibe of the Constance collection but the little acorn details allow it to fit nicely into the fall/holiday seasons when most basically all of the formal entertaining is done. She's a pricy set but one I definitely look forward to continuing to collect over the years (ahem, Mom and J - these pieces would make for great gifts :)

Also -  Have been dying to try to DIY those floral ice cubes with the edible violas. And how cool is the ice bucket?!?
