Fancy Feet - Flats Edition

Tuesday, June 11, 2013

If I have a "thing" when it comes to shopping, it's probably shoes. Not like an annoying Carrie Bradshaw kind of thing, but shoes really are the best way to add some character to an outfit. Kicking off this Fancy Feet edition, I thought I'd start with my favorites, The flat/slipper/loafer which I wear basically every. single. day. They are so versatile and comfortable - I literally wear them for work, on the weekends and even on date nights. Below are a few pairs that I am currently coveting along with a few of my favorites that I already own.

These Charles Philip flats ^ are insanely gorgeous and are also budget friendly. Look at those patterns... I'll take one of each!

While I don't consider my style to be super girly, I really do have a weakness for anything with a bow on it. These ^ Tory Burch flats (on sale!) have been on my wish list for a while and they are just the ticket! Little fun fact, Tory went to my High School so I love to support her line!
I love patriotic details and these ^ flats offer a perfect dose of it. I'm obviously into stars and have been really into camo over the past year. Gorgeous red piping too!!
So, obviously espadrilles and oxfords have been having a moment lately. They are definitely on my radar for the spring/summer (hello? Chanel espadrilles can you please come back into stock?). This ^ pair from the Gap are an adorable hybrid with the straw bottoms and little lace up detail.

These ^ Charlotte Olympia Cosmic Collection Flats are amazing. They are definitely an investment but the colors and the jeweled pieces are out of this world.  Pictured above are Virgo, Gemini and Aquarius. I wish Scorpio was cuter....
I love these ^. They're a modern twist on the classic ballerina flat with the elastic cross over and baby pink shade. Into it.
The details on this ^ pair are gorgeous. Great scalloped edges and tiny ankle strap detail make these Asos  littles a winner.
These ^ don't need much of an explanation. A pop of neon yellow can really do the trick. Get em here. Not a fan of yellow? They come in 9 different shades. NINE!
These ^ tribal flats are a fantastic transition pair to take you from the office to happy hour. I love Zara's shoes and always pick up their newest flats. They are both comfortable and affordable. These are definitely on my list. Get them here.
Not a round toe gal? This ^ pointed pair is a great option in a subtle color combo. Don't they remind you of Goyard?
These ^ might not be for everyone, but I am loving the play on a menswear tuxedo shoe. The small tassel and grosgrain ribbon details take this patent flat above and beyond.

MINE:

Every time I wear these I have strangers talking to me. They are certainly a conversation piece... They're from Zara and are unfortunately sold out, but I can't WAIT to see what they come up with for next Fall! So cheeky.
Many don't know, but Zara actually has a Home line. I was SO excited when they launched their E-shop for the US, but I have to say I have been pretty disappointed in what they have to offer. These however, are amazing (from the home line). While they are technically slippers, they have rubber soles so I wear them out and about....Granny?

If you are into needlepoint shoes, I am about to rock your world. Stubbs are an obvious choice among the preppy New England crowd, but you will definitely shell out $400 per pair. I discovered Soles by Paige and fell in LOVE. I have the above pair as well as a few others and they are 100% the most comfortable flats I own. Only HALF the price of SW, you can get them here. You are welcome!
